Tri-agency grants management solution procurement process update: Solution selection

Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that following a competitive procurement process through Shared Services Canada, the Microsoft Power Platform has been chosen as the platform that will support the Tri-agency grants management solution (TGMS). This means that the agencies are one step closer to modernizing their grants management systems to better support agency staff, applicants, administrators, and reviewers, with the goal of developing a harmonized solution that delivers a more efficient and user-friendly experience.

As we look ahead, there is much work needed before the implementation phase can begin. TGMS project’s next milestone is the second phase in the procurement process – selecting a vendor to help with the configuration of the solution. Once this is completed, final approvals from the Treasury Board Secretariat will be sought.

Since the beginning of the project, the TGMS team has engaged with both internal and external stakeholders and users, including over 800 employees from the three agencies and 900 research community members. I would like to thank the employees from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) who have been involved in the co-design activities and procurement process. The TGMS team will continue to inform and consult employees from the three agencies and the research community as they continue to move forward with the project.

If you receive any questions about TGMS, procurement, or questions from vendors, please direct them to the TGMS team (tgms-sgsto@cihr-irsc.gc.ca) to protect the integrity of the procurement process.

Thank you,

Adrian Mota
